Business

Overview

The business department at Central provides career and technical education designed to help students prepare for a successful career. There are a wide variety of courses which include Personal Finance, Business Communication, Business Law, Introduction to Business, Business Work Experience Internship, Business Management, Accounting I & II, Web Design, Event Sports Marketing, Graphic Design, Adobe In-Design, AP Computer Principles & AP Computer Science. Any combination of four business courses allow a student to be a CTE completer. Multiple certifications in CTE are also available for students such as Quickbooks and Google Cents.

Travis McCarty

Mr. McCarty graduated from Delta High School. Attended the University of Northern Colorado where he earned a BS in Mathematics Emphasis Secondary Education. He later earned my M. Ed. in Technology in Education. He has taught at Central for over 20 years. He taught math and now teach computer science and graphic design. He coaches Girls' Basketball and sponsor Girls Who Code.

Taylor Reed

Taylor Reed has a a bachelor's degree in business/marketing from Colorado State University and a master's degree in journalism from the University of Colorado at Boulder. This is his 7th year teaching and 5th year at CHS. Prior to CHS, he taught in Salt Lake City for two years.

Mrs. Paniagua graduated from the University of Illinois, Springfield, with a degree in Business Administration. She acquired a teaching certificate from the University of Colorado, Denver.She began teaching at CHS in the fall of 2019. She teaches Business classes, including Accounting, Entrepreneurship, Marketing, Business Communications, and Microsoft Office certifications. Mrs. Paniagua also sponsors Central High School's award-winning FBLA Program.
