Read:
*CNN Bernie wins New Hampshire race shifts to Nevada and South Carolina
     * FOX - Media spotlight surging Klobuchar as Sanders wins New Hampshire

Directions:

1. Listen to the podcast and read the articles.

It is not contested that Bernie Sanders won the first primary but with this Primary and Iowa's flawed caucus this still only represents only 4% of the voters that will vote. So, currently, Bernie is in the lead but this may not stay that way for long.

2. The "front runners" as of now are: Bernie Sanders, Pete Buttigieg, Joe Biden, Amy Klobuchar and Michael Bloomberg. Please use the link as a secondary resource for your assignment.

3. Choose FOUR candidates and write me a paragraph on each candidate (What do they support?, What are they bad at?, What do you like about them?, What DON'T you like about them? Can they win?).

4. Summarize this analysis with a choice, which candidate would you support and why?

1. You may work in a group of 3 or less

2. Each person should be in charge of one of the three sections (Listen to, Read, Watch) IF TWO then split read and watch, IF ALONE do all three

3. As you do your part think about:
      * How will this impact me?
      * Why won't the government do this?
      * What is the financial interest to the company?
      * Can we rely on companies that have in the past taken advantage of the climate and environment to take the lead now?
      * Will this be successful?

4. As a group discuss and talk about all of the different parts and how they connect

5. Create a poster (materials in the middle of the room on the table) that shows me what you learned and use the questions above to help guide your learning if you get stuck. How much will that cost?
What is your 5 year plan?

Today I want you to explore your future and create something for me that shows me what you have thought of or are thinking of.... YOUR future is soon and you need to start thinking about it and planning your next steps.

Can you surprise me? Impress me? Show me something unique.

Do you feel your needs are being met?

Pic 2              Pic 4             Pic 6             Pic 8

Directions:

1) This audio file and pictures are from one of my past students. Jackson was quite honestly one of the most hard working and kind students I have ever had and he was kind enough to share his story with me and you.

2) After listening and looking at the pictures I want you to think about yourself.

3) IF you went some where, ANYWHERE, in the world where would you go? What would you do to make a difference? Why is that location so special to you? Would you take someone with you? Could you do it on your own? What issues may you face? How long do you think you could stay away?

4) Write a reflection paper answering all and MORE of those questions. I want you to make up a trip where you go to do outreach of some sort. Tell me who you want to see and why you want to go. USE YOUR IMAGINATION!!!

5) Share this with me when you are done.
