Post Graduation Prep
Preparing For the Next Chapter
Individual Career and Academic Plan
ICAP is a multi-year process that intentionally guides students and families in exploring career, academic, and postsecondary opportunities, with the support of meaningful career conversationalists. Students develop the awareness, knowledge, attitudes, and skills to create meaningful and powerful pathways to career and college readiness.
ICAP is a foundational tool that gives students ownership of a process that helps them explore their unique talents and aspirations, participate in career and postsecondary options, and create pathways to financial success after high school. Students will receive ICAP instruction during advisory using the Schoolinks to plan post-graduation life. Schoolinks can be found on the students' class links page.
Central High School is committed to providing students with coursework and potential internships that would prepare all students for the next level, whether that be a 2 or 4 year college, a trade school, or the workforce. Part of this plan is to recommend 2 college level courses for all students: AP Language for All as part of Comp 11 and an additional course that receives weighted grades.
